Reading Comprehension: What's It All About?
KSLA Delaware Valley is excited to welcome presenters Meg Norris, Kim Lewinski, and Kelly Doyle to the Research Into Practice virtual conference on Saturday, April 15.
Comprehension is a multi-faceted process!! What does the latest research show in terms of how factors such as language processing, vocabulary, word identification, fluency, and morphology relate to comprehension? What role do motivation, engagement, and executive functioning play?
Dr. Norris, Dr. Lewinski, and Dr. Doyle have decades of PK-12 classroom experience in addition to their classroom and research experiences at the university level.
They will actively engage participants in terms of classroom practices that teach and advance our students’ comprehension.
Drs. Norris, Lewinski and Doyle will:
- Examine the most recent research related to reading comprehension;
- Share practical instructional strategies to teach, develop, and enhance comprehension;
- Address a variety of factors that relate to and impact comprehension;
- Engage participants actively throughout the workshop!!!!
- Increase their understanding of research related to comprehension;
- Leave with practical strategies for improving their students' comprehension;
- Engage with presenters and colleagues
