A Proud Tradition

KSLA Delaware Valley is a new organization with deep roots.
The Delaware Valley Reading Association (DVRA), traces its beginnings back to 1955, with Dr. Morton Botel as our first president. The Philadelphia Council formed out of part of DVRA in 1971. Now we are together again and looking forward to many more years of literacy leadership in the Delaware Valley. We invite you to join us!

Mission

As part of the Keystone State Literacy Association, our mission is to empower educators, leaders, and the community by providing opportunities and resources to make literacy accessible for all.

Governance

KSLA Delaware Valley has a Governing Board that is responsible for the fiscal and organizational aspects of the organization. In addition, we have a dedicated Advisory Committee that run the major aspects of our council, including programs and service projects.
